Oh the week that previewed this photo.

You gagged on everything, puked a million times from gagging, and did not sleep at all!

Essential oils in your humidifier, Hyland’s Cough Syrup and an Albuterol inhaler was the recipe for success.

Love you for always,
Mama

Meet Ruger!

We had been searching for a companion for little Bella for quite some time. We put in an offer on another pup and it didn’t work out. On our family trip to the coast this last weekend, we stopped in at the Mall and took you to see all of the kitties and puppies from the Rescue. Right out front we found this little guy, along with his brothers and sisters. They had been dumped off on the side of the road and FOCCA rescued them and put them in a foster home until their future owner came along. Daddy has been seeking a boy dog to add to our growing girly family, and we were anxious for Bells to find a friend and play mate to grow old with. Long story short, this little fella stole daddy’s heart immediately. Formerly known as ‘Gilligan’, meet Ruger. The vet’s best guess is that he was born September 17, 2012 and is a doxie/jack russel mix. He was the largest of the litter, but still seems so small when he’s in our home. He loves to lick your fingers…and you giggle when he licks your ear 🙂 You laugh hysterically when him & Bella play. It is difficult to potty train him while taking care of you, but we manage! Once we get past this stage, he will be the perfect pup!

Love you for always,
Mama

My goodness how times flies. I cannot believe that you will be 8 months old on Christmas day. Daddy & I were talking about how much life will change when your sister gets here, but then again, it is amazing how quickly you grew up…and it makes us really rather sad! I see brand new babies and it is difficult to remember you ever being that  tiny. So fragile! To me, you are still itty bitty. You are loved by many. You smile at everyone and everything (and laugh, too!). You love it when daddy comes home from work and you just crack up by him just saying “how’s my baby girl?!”. You have two teeth (so far) and are SERIOUSLY working on a few more. You eat two solid-meals a day…generally a fruit in the morning and a veggie at dinner time (with ‘babbas’ inbetween).  You love eating cheese, french fries, crackers, bananas puffs, actual bananas, apple slices, MumMums and teething biscuits. You will actually eat just about whatever we give you. We assume you are around 20lbs at this point. We finally got you back into a routine of sleeping through the night (just in time for your sister to come, sheesh). Every so often, you will wake up with mouth pain several times during a night, but for the most part, you are great. You love to hang out in your walker in the kitchen with mama as I prepare meals and clean. You babble, snack on some crackers, and stare at Bella as she paces under my feet hoping I will drop food! Much to our dismay, you also LOVE Yo Gabba Gabba. I tried really hard to keep you entertained with Spongebob, but he’s just not nearly as exciting. You hear that Nickelodean theme song come up and your head swivels right to the TV. *Sigh*. I always said I’d never be the mother who let’s their baby watch TV, but it’s just so darn cute watching you dance and get excited and start jumping wildly in your Jumperoo. More often than not, I catch myself staring at you and feeling a love that is so indescribable it’s almost frustrating. I struggle to believe even God knows the gratefulness my heart feels every time I look at you. Blessed beyond measure.

Well, I guess that about sums it up for now. I cannot WAIT for your first Christmas to finally arrive!

It was a sweaty nap!

You are just a hot baby. More often than not, I scoop you up after a nap only to find your shirt stuck to your back and your hair matted up with sweat beads everywhere. Gross, but cute. This just so happens to be the first time I have been able to actually capture a photo to describe said circumstances….
